For our first trip of 2023 we loaded up a couple of Triumph ADV bikes, a Tiger Rally Pro 1200 and its 900cc brother, the Tiger Rally Pro 900, and headed out to the Death Valley, CA area. We were hoping to do a big loop through the park, taking in some great sights along the way, but due to massive winter storms in California, we were unable to put together a safe route due to some park trail closures.
Our Plan B turned out to be just as epic, as we based out of a friends great desert cabin near Ridgecrest, CA, and took some day trips in the area, eventually heading north up towards Lone Pine, CA. With detours up to Kennedy Meadows, and exploring some abandoned mining areas, we had a great adventure overall, with a variety of landscapes from Joshua trees to snow covered mountains.
