We recently headed to beautiful Crested Butte, Colorado for a 3 day adventure ride. I had ridden in the area at the KTM Adventure Rally in 2015 with Andrew Short and Mike Lafferty, so I was looking forward to returning to this great riding area to sample some more trails.
Our first day’s route took us down the notorious Punchbowl trail that was definitely a handful on a big ADV bike.
We spent the next two days exploring some tight single track and exposed rocky passes east of the main town. We had a couple of struggles getting our bikes through Italian Pass over to American Flag Mountain, but at the end of the day we had a good sense of achievement!
